Japan-EU Deal May Fuel Asian Trade
Japan and the European Union have reached a broad economic partnership agreement which could spur negotiators in the region to double their efforts on other ongoing trade deals. This includes the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the China-led Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, the latter of which could increase China's economic clout in the region with the help of Xi Jinping's Belt and Road Initiative.
