Description
The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) rail link directly connects the countries of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey. The project is an important connection in the rail transport corridor that links Central Asia and China to Europe. It is intended to increase regional cooperation in the South Caucasus, though the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict made it politically impossible to include Armenia in the train's route.
