Description

The aim of the project is to advance the regional connectivity and work towards rectifying the disparity between various regions in Kazakhstan, by developing and improving its transport capacity by upgrading the road and transport infrastructure around the Klan, Kainar-Otar and Kordai-Kyrgyz border routes in the Southern province of Zhambyl Oblast. This tranche specifically deals with the construction and consulting services related to a number of road improvements highlighted in the map above. The construction at Kulan Bypass (Km 383-404), the Otar-Blagoveschenka road sections (Km 162-260), and Korday-KGZ border road section (Km 0- 17.7) will increase average traffic volume, reduce average travel time, reduce vehicle operating costs, and reduce the road crash rate.
