Description

Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail, one of the Indonesia's first high speed rail projects, connects Jakarta to Indonesia's 2nd largest city Bandung in West Java. It might be extended later to connect to Surabaya in Northeastern Java.

In 2016, the government of Indonesia granted the PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China a 50-year Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) contract. The construction is expected to finish in 2019 and the operation of the line to start in 2020 but the delays in land acquisition may affect its completion date.
