Description

This project will increase the capacity of the Laksam-Chinki Astana railway by doubling the tracks. The project encompasses the remodeling of eleven railway stations, constructions of four new stations, platforms and foot-bridges.

The train will run at speeds of up to 120 km per hour. This project is jointly financed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Bangladeshi Government.
