Description

The Poti Industrial Zone is a combination intermodal-trade zone to encourage businesses and job creation. As such, it's technically "complete" already and has been functioning for 5 years according to what information is easily accessible to the public but is prone to constant expansion or change, though that does not seem to have taken place based on satellite imagery. A Chinese firm is slated to buy 75% of the zone, relieving Ras Al Khaimah of much of its shares and that may change activity going forward.

The project covers 300 hectares and was started up with a $27 million investment by the Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority.
